UN 2023 Water Conference - Virtual Side Event

The Sri Swami Madhavananda World Peace Council in collaboration with Yoga in Daily Life USA and the International Day of Yoga Committee at the United Nations is hosting an on-line summit as part of the UN Water Conference 2023 and in honor of the United Nations decade dedicated to water. World Peace Council Conference on the occasion of 40 years of Yoga in Daily Life in Hungary, at University of Györ

On the occasion of 40 years of Yoga in Daily Life in Hungary, 70 years of diplomatic relations between India and Hungary and the 150 year birth anniversary of Mahatma Gandhiji, a Sri Swami Madhavananda World Peace Council Conference was organized at the University of Györ Széchenyi István Egyetem.

The conference titled Yoga and World Peace and organized by the SSMWPC, a philanthropic NGO in special consultative status with the UN ECOSOC, marked the 15th anniversary of Paramhans Swami Madhavananda’s Mahasamadhi (final liberation) in recognition of the fact that Holy Guruji’s entire life was an epitome of love and of universal peace - the notion that instigated the establishment of the United Nations.

Conference: 'Yoga and World Peace'

Sri Swami Madhavananda World Peace Council announces that on March 7, 2018, a World Peace Council Conference will take place on the topic 'Yoga and World Peace'. The conference has been organized by Sri Swami Madhavananda World Peace Council (SSMWPC), in cooperation with the International Day of Yoga Committee at the United Nations, and United Nations Staff Recreation Council (UNSRC) / Enlightenment Society (SEAT).

Prague, December 5, 2016 - Just a few days after UNESCO inscribed yoga on the Representative List of the Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity, the international conference on “Yoga in Daily Life – a Path to Non-Violence and World Peace” was held in Prague, Czech Republic on December 4, 2016.
